Description

Arvad White stands out for its blend of remarkable freshness and minerality, paired with a smooth, voluminous texture. Its finish is long and persistent, underscoring the balance of the blend of Arinto, Alvarinho, and Sauvignon Blanc. The wine is partially fermented in stainless‑steel tanks and receives 2 % of its volume from used French oak barrels, then ages on fine lees for five months, resulting in an expressive, harmonious, and full‑bodied profile. Arvad is a viticultural project founded in 2016 on the banks of the Arade River in Silves. The name, meaning “refuge,” reflects the brand’s philosophy of crafting wines with care, authenticity, and respect for terroir. Benefiting from a Mediterranean climate with Atlantic influence and clay‑chalk soils steeped in the region’s history, Arvad produces wines of distinct character under the guidance of winemaker Bernardo Cabral, whose first vinification took place in 2019.
