The bottles of aged wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is normal given their age. The National Wine Cellar commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, yet it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands/regions that, by default, display distinct characteristics in tastings of old wines. However, we inform you that wine is a living organism that, when exposed to time—even inside a bottle—has aromas subject to various evolutions. Accordingly, the National Wine Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate beforehand, as this will help release its natural aromas after many years of being sealed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, be sure to do so patiently to detect the appearance of sediment, which an old wine tends to develop. (illustrative image)
