Description

The Casa Agrícola Brites Aguiar spans 200 hectares of fertile ground, spread across the slopes of the Rio Torto and Ribeira de Galegos. Nestled in the Durris microclimate, each crop finds its ideal spot – until the late 1960s, the estate’s financial backbone was the olive groves. Over the decades the olive crop faded into the background, giving way to vines that dominate to this day. Other crops are still cultivated, but the focus remains firmly on viticulture for wine production. The estate’s wines are offered in the Bafarela and Brites Aguiar ranges, with the latter the flagship of its portfolio, produced only in exceptional vintages. (Illustrative image only)
