The Casa Agrícola Brites Aguiar spans 200 hectares of fertile land across the slopes of the Rio Torto and Ribeira de Galegos. Surrounded by the Duriense microclimate, each crop has its preferred spot, as until the late 1960s the estate’s economic backbone was the olive grove. Over the years, olive cultivation has taken a back seat, with vines taking precedence up to the present day. Other crops are still explored, but the focus remains on vine cultivation for wine production. The wines of Casa Agrícola Brites Aguiar are presented in the Bafarela and Brites Aguiar ranges, with the latter being the flagship of the portfolio, produced only in exceptional years.
