Born from a cooperative established in 1975, Barão de Alenquer is a true testament to the resilience of these 620 hectares in the Lisboa region. The nose bursts with cooked red fruits and wild berries, evoking the scent of the surrounding hills. Remarkably easy on the palate, it still reveals a surprising complexity – a wine that’s clearly the legacy of a pioneering group who first brought together 85 visionaries back in 1973. It pairs beautifully with a hearty beef roast, completing the experience.
