Barbeito Ângelo Augusto da Silva was born in 1896 in São Vicente, Madeira Island. He earned a degree in Mathematics from the University of Coimbra and began his professional career in Aveiro. In 1924 and again in 1930 he was appointed rector of Liceu Jaime Moniz, a post he held until the age limit was reached. For this tribute, Ricardo Diogo selected, among his favorites, the finest Malvasia wines aged in our cellars over the past 40 years using the traditional Canteiro method, and added some even older vintages.
