According to its age, the wines may show marks left by time, such as dust residue in the bottles and/or some label damage—common in wines that have been stored for decades. The National Wine Cellar is committed to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, yet it always preserves the visual appearance that comes with their age. We usually select the brands/regions that typically do well in old wine competitions. However, wine is a living organism that, like others, is exposed to time, and even within a bottle, aromas are subject to different evolutions. Therefore, the National Wine Cellar cannot be held responsible for the wine’s quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open and let the bottle breathe first, which will help release the wine’s natural aromas after so many years sealed.
