O Bastardô! Branco Black Edition from the 2020 harvest is made entirely from grapes grown on old vines planted in loamy soils. After fermentation in new French oak barrels, the wine spends an additional six months aging in the same barrels, staying in contact with fine lees to integrate the wood and the wine, enhancing its creaminess and depth. The wine then spends another six months in the bottle before release, revealing strong maturation and complexity. On the nose it presents aromas of ripe fruit, with emphasis on melon and apple, plus subtle vegetal notes. Its harmony, balance, and volume make it a perfect match for fatty fish, white meats, charcuterie, and sheep cheeses. A Wine With Spirit is an innovative winery that introduces a fresh concept of wine consumption to the market. It is essential not only to produce wines that complement traditional Portuguese cuisine, but also to continue fostering relationships with wine and with what defines Portuguese identity.
