This Beija-Flor, hailing from the high terroirs of the Douro (around 600 metres), really seems to have captured the essence of the region. The pronounced minerality – you can almost feel the mica-schist – is beautifully balanced with toasted oak notes, delicate herbs and white fruit. A surprisingly powerful wine, perfect with grilled fish and a squeeze of lemon and garlic.
