Beyra “With the Beyra project we pioneered the concept of Altitude Wines. In Vermiosa, amid Portugal’s highest vineyards, I returned to the origins, in the same cellar where I made my first harvest.” – Rui Roboredo Madeira Origin: A dry‑farmed vineyard on clay soil, located in the parish of Vermiosa at an average altitude of 700 m. Vinification: Hand‑harvested, whole‑bunch pressing without destemming to preserve all aromatic potential. Fermentation in stainless‑steel tanks between 16 °C–18 °C. Afterwards, fine‑lees “batonnage” was performed at the end of the alcoholic fermentation for two months, followed by a brief bottle ageing until March of the year following the harvest.
