In 2011, Rui Reboredo Madeira returned to the same winery where he harvested his first vintage in 1987. Located in the small village of Vermiosa, in Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, among Portugal’s highest vineyards, his Beira Interior wines are vinified and aged there. The Beyra label was then born, marked by excellence and the pioneering concept of “High‑Altitude Wines.” In one of the Iberian Peninsula’s most remote areas, in the foothill zone between the Upper Douro and Beira Alta, Rui’s family‑born passion for the aromas and scents of the land that shape his character took root. After years of experience and living elsewhere in the world, he brings back to his roots what he has learned, launching a personal wine‑making project, always with maximum respect for nature.
