In 2011, Rui Reboredo Madeira returned to the same cellar where he had harvested his first vintage in 1987. Nestled in the small village of Vermiosa, in Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, amid Portugal’s highest vineyards, his Beira Interior wines are vinified and aged there. This is where the Beyra wine label was born, distinguished by its excellence and the pioneering concept of “High‑Altitude Wines.” In one of the Iberian Peninsula’s most remote zones—between the Upper Douro and Upper Beira—Rui’s passion for the aromas and scents of the land that shape his character emerged within his family. After years of experience in other corners of the globe, Rui brings back to his roots everything he has learned, launching a personal wine‑making project that always honours nature.
