This Beyra Moscatel, straight from the Madeira, is a delightfully delicate exercise in minerality. Rui Roboredo clearly has a deep affection for the Moscatel Galego grape, meticulously hand-picking the grapes and avoiding de-stemming to preserve the variety’s distinctive character. The natural fermentation, using indigenous yeasts and temperatures between 16 and 18°C, yields a wine with an intensely fragrant, almost translucent aroma of roses and violets, beautifully balanced with bright citrus notes of tangerine and mandarin zest. As lauded by *Grandes Escolhas*, this wine earns a well-deserved 17 points, boasting a freshness that makes it ideal for pairing with freshly grilled fish or a generous helping of Port cheese.
