In 2011, Rui Reboredo Madeira returned to the same winery where he had his first harvest in 1987. Situated in the small village of Vermiosa, Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, among Portugal’s highest vineyards, the Beira Interior wines are vinified and aged there. The Beyra label was born, distinguished by excellence and the pioneering “High‑Altitude Wines” concept. In one of the Iberian Peninsula’s most remote zones, in the Raia region between the Douro Superior and Beira Alta, Rui’s family‑grown passion for the earth’s aromas and scents has shaped his character. After years of experience abroad, he brings back what he learned to his roots, launching a personal wine‑making project that respects nature to the fullest.
