Rui Roboredo’s Beyra is, frankly, a citrus explosion – it’s as if the gods of grapefruit and lime personally blessed the grapes. Crafted with a decidedly traditional touch – hand-picked and immediate pressing – this wine is remarkably vibrant, absolutely saturated with notes of tangerine and, of course, a delightful burst of passionfruit. The gentle ‘batonnage’ – or lees stirring – for 15 days has given it a wonderfully concentrated texture, perfectly suited alongside fresh seafood and a creamy goat’s cheese.
