In 2011, Rui Reboredo Madeira returned to the same winery where he harvested his first vintage in 1987. Located in the tiny village of Vermiosa, in Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, among Portugal’s highest vineyards, its Beira Interior wines are vinified and aged on site. Thus the Beyra wine brand was born, defined by excellence and the pioneering concept of “Altitude Wines.” In one of the Iberian Peninsula’s most remote areas, the Raia zone between the Upper Douro and Beira Alta, Rui’s passion for the aromas and scents of the land that shape his character was born within his family. After years of experience and living in other corners of the globe, Rui brings back to his roots what he learned, launching a personal wine‑making project that always respects nature to the fullest.
