For years, crafting a wine in the Bordeaux style felt almost impossible. Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino were, and remain, crucial, but I wasn't keen on boxing myself in. This is my modern take on Supertuscan – a vibrant blend with minimal oak and a truly remarkable energy and elegance. Initially, you'll find red fruits, evolving to plum, dark chocolate and leather, all underpinned by a wonderfully subtle acidity that complements the freshness and grace, rather than brute power and structure.
