This organic Dão from Quinta da Pellada Pelludo is a genuine delight. The estate, with its evocative name, relies on a traditional Pitordal vine and a Touriga Nacional that clearly refuses to be just “good”. The vibrancy of the Alvarinho adds a welcome acidity, making it perfect with grilled sardines and a nice pastel de bacalhau. It’s a wine that proves the “pelludo” of the estate has a wonderfully lively heart.
