It was developed more than a century ago by James Buchanan and became one of the most important representatives of Scotch Whisky in the 19th century. Its creator, James Buchanan, apparently had the idea for the brand on his way home from a dog show. James crafted a smoother and lighter blend than other Scotches on the market, yet retained the same consistency and flavour. Only the finest malts and grains were selected to achieve the exact balance in a unique blend of 35 different malts and grains, together making it a light and smooth whisky. (illustrative image only)
