This Bivarietal from the Alentejo certainly seems to be holding onto a little secret. The oak, leaning towards new French barriques, gives it a remarkably deep colour, as if it’s spent a night under the stars. Initially quite taut, it unfolds with floral and fruity notes, underpinned by a distinctly earthy complexity – a touch of genuine sophistication. A powerful, yet restrained wine, with a wonderfully fresh finish that suggests a good ageing potential; ideally paired with grilled beef, wouldn’t you agree?
