Douro Demarcated Region Wine. It aged in casks and wooden shells. It presents a pale, almost translucent appearance, with a complex aroma featuring notes of dried fruit, honey, and typical aging aromas. On the palate it is velvety, balanced in sweetness, and reveals its full age in an enveloping finish. Founded in 1884 by brothers António and Francisco, the Borges Wine Society quickly became one of the main national wine companies. Recognizing that only through excellence can Portuguese wines assert themselves worldwide, Borges has always bet on the quality of its production, now exported to more than fifty countries across five continents.
