The bottles of vintage wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is to be expected given their age. The National Cellar ensures that all wines are stored at the correct temperature and humidity, but it also chooses to preserve the visual appearance appropriate to their age. We select brands/regions that, by default, reveal distinct characteristics in vintage wine tastings. However, we note that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even inside a bottle its aromas evolve. Therefore, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe first, which helps release its natural aromas after so many years sealed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, do so patiently to detect the sediment that an old wine tends to develop. (illustrative image)
