Old wine bottles may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is to be expected given their age. The National Cellar is committed to storing all wines at the proper temperature and humidity, but it also always chooses to preserve the visual appearance that comes with age. We select brands and regions that, by convention, exhibit distinct characteristics in vintage wine tastings. Nevertheless, we remind you that wine is a living organism that, even while sealed in a bottle, is subject to evolving aromas over time. Consequently, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as this is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe beforehand, as this will help release its natural aromas after many years of being closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, do so patiently so you can detect the sediment that typically forms in older wines. (Illustrative image only)
