Cal Pla Negre is the flagship wine and the gateway to the world of Celler Cal Pla, a historic family winery located in Porrera, at the heart of the D.O.Ca. Priorat. Crafted from a lot dominated by Garnacha and Cariñena grapes grown on vines of various ages, this red reflects the intensity and personality of the steep slate and black shale slopes (licorella). With a carefully planned maturation of about 12 months, combining barrels from different origins, it emerges as a dense yet extremely balanced wine, renowned for offering one of the best value‑for‑money ratios in the entire denomination, without losing the Atlantic‑Mediterranean and mineral character of Priorat.
