Founded in 1859 by António Alves Cálem, Porto Cálem remained in the same family for four generations and always paid great attention to producing quality Port wines, earning recognition from the whole wine world. With its famous “Velhotes” Port range, launched in 1934, it gained national prominence, becoming the top‑selling brand in Portugal with over 3 million bottles sold each year.
