The Quinta da Carvalhosa, which owes its name to the controlled designation of origin, is situated between Régua and Pinhão in the demarcated Douro region. It is composed exclusively of type A and B vines—the classification for the finest vineyards. Covering eight hectares, the estate grows only native varieties: Tinta Barroca, Tinto Roriz, Touriga Nacional, and Touriga Franca, with vines aged between 20 and 40 years. (illustrative image only)
