According to its age, the wines may display marks left by time, such as dust traces on the bottles and/or some damage to the labels, a common occurrence in wines that have spent decades in storage. The National Cellar ensures that all wines are stored at the correct temperature and humidity, yet it always preserves the visual appearance inherent to their age. We usually select brands/regions that typically perform well in old‑wine tastings. However, wine is a living organism that, like others, is exposed to time, and even within a bottle its aromas evolve differently. Thus, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the wine’s quality, given that it is aged. Our recommendation is to open and let the bottle aerate beforehand, as this will help release the wine’s natural aromas after so many years closed.
