Made primarily from the Galego Dourado grape, this Carcavelos displays a beautiful topaz color, a rich aromatic profile evoking dried fruits, and an exquisite, subtle palate. It was produced from successive lots of older vintages, with an estimated age of about 40 years; the final 16,200 bottles were sealed in late 1991. This is an old bottle of Carcavelos from Quinta da Bela Vista, which, despite some accumulated grime over time, remains in excellent condition, with the label, cork, and liquid level all intact.
