Carlos Raposo This wine embodies joy, celebration, good food, good friends, and good life. A wine of pure pleasure, elegant and expressing the true essence of traditional Dão wine. The impeccable wine is 100 % made from the region’s queen grape, Touriga Nacional. This iconic Portuguese grape had its birthplace in the Dão, but due to its great quality it is now found in many wine regions worldwide. Nevertheless, we believe it expresses itself best in its native land. With a very fresh and floral aroma, where bergamot and violet stand out in a perfect marriage, this wine stands out from other Tourigas for its great balance, moderate extraction, contained alcohol level and lack of oak aging. The result is a very fresh, easy‑to‑drink, highly gastronomic wine. The vineyards, aged between 30 and 50 years, are mainly located in the Serra da Estrela sub‑region, the coolest part of the Dão, naturally producing elegant and vibrant wines. VINIFICATION: The grapes were hand‑picked in 15‑kg crates and carefully transported to the cellar, where they were meticulously selected at the picking table. They were then despun, and by gravity directed into temperature‑controlled stainless‑steel tanks. After alcoholic fermentation the wine was racked and underwent malolactic fermentation in a stainless‑steel tank, where it aged for six months before bottling. PAIRING: Ideal for lightly seasoned dishes, red and white meats, and pasta. Suitable for vegans and vegetarians: dishes with root vegetables (turnip, sweet potato, beetroot) and legumes (chickpeas, beans, peas), as well as dishes with cheese. Allergen information: Contains sulfites. SKU: 107705
