Description

In the Douro Superior, near Almendra, the Casa Agrícola Roboredo Madeira (CARM) has been linked to viticulture in the region since the late nineteenth century. The oldest vineyard dates back to 1966, and since then new traditional varieties have been introduced, converted to organic production. With the construction of the cellar, since 2004 the wines produced reflect a passion for the land and respect for nature, carrying the aromas and flavors of earth, slate, rosemary, flowers and wild fruit. A new approach has emerged, producing vegan wines that incorporate ethical and sustainable principles. (illustrative image only)
