With estates in the Upper Douro, near Almendra, Casa Agrícola Roboredo Madeira (CARM) has been linked to viticulture in the region since the late 19th century. Today, the oldest vineyard dates back to 1966, and since then new traditional grape varieties have been introduced and converted to organic production. Since the construction of the cellar in 2004, the wines have reflected a passion for the land and a respect for nature, carrying aromas and flavors of earth, schist, slate, flowers, and wild fruits. With this new approach, the wines are produced as vegan, incorporating ethical and sustainable principles. (Illustrative image only)
