Quinta da Alorna dates back to 1723, and its name derives from the conquest of the fort at Alorna in India by D. Pedro de Almeida, the first Marquis of Alorna. The estate is situated in Almeirim, near the banks of the Tagus River, and is distinguished not only by the quality of the wines it produces but also by its natural surroundings.
