Casa Américo **The Wine – Casa Américo Encruzado** Casa Américo Encruzado is produced from a 40‑year‑old Encruzado vineyard on the Quinta do Aral estate. The vines are planted on granite soils at elevations between 400 m and 600 m, in a terroir strongly influenced by a nearby 2,000‑metre‑high mountain. **Vinification** Gentle pressing. The must is naturally decanted for 48 hours at 10 °C. 60 % of the must ferments in stainless steel at 18 °C, while 40 % ferments in new 450‑litre French oak barrels.
