You’re immediately hit with those characteristic notes of almond blossom, a clear nod to the Fernão Pires grape, alongside a subtle touch of schist from the Douro’s limestone soils. It’s a wine with plenty of verve and a creamy texture – bordering on indulgent, perhaps – but remarkably well-balanced. Seriously, it’s fantastic with grilled fresh fish or a seafood platter.
