We are presented with a producer who has risen from the ashes. He has come to stay and write a new story, but the history of this house is old, dating back to the 19th century when it was built. Great wines were born here and in its vineyards. Who doesn’t remember the P63, which were vinified at the time by José Maria da Fonseca? Fate had left it “abandoned” in the world of wine, leaving only a faint memory of the great wines that were born there. Fate also had it that the new owner—someone of good taste and extreme dedication to making and doing it well—would revive the place. Thus the new Casa da Passarella was born, to write a new chapter in the history of this house and the Dão region. The wines are excellent, crafted with rigor and a strong desire to do the best.
