We are looking at a producer that has risen from the ashes. He came to stay and write a new chapter, but the house’s history is ancient, dating back to the 19th century when it was built. Great wines have sprung from this estate and its vineyards – who can forget the P63, once vinified by José Maria da Fonseca? Fate had left the place “abandoned” in the world of wine, leaving only a faint memory of the great wines that once emerged there. Another twist of fate brought a new owner, a person of good taste and extreme dedication to craft the very best. Thus the new Casa da Passarella was born, ready to write another chapter in the house’s history and in the Dão region. The wines are excellent, produced with rigor and a deep desire to achieve the utmost quality.
