This “O Fugitivo Tardia” from Casa da Passarella certainly seems to have spent some time lost in thought. The blend of Encruzado, Malvasia Fina, and Verdelho, patiently fermented over a prolonged period, delivers a subtle sweetness and an undeniable elegance – a quality only nine months ageing in French oak can truly coax out. It’s a remarkably fresh wine with a lingering finish, perfectly suited to pairing with fresh cheeses or a beautifully grilled white fish. A reminder, perhaps, that a little patience is a very good thing.
