In order to honor the historic legacy of this place and its wines, this special edition is born from a blend of indigenous Dão grapes, celebrating the 125th anniversary of Casa da Passarella. We are witnessing a producer that has risen from the ashes. It has come to stay and write a new chapter, but the house’s history stretches back to the 19th century, when it was first built. Great wines were born here, in these vineyards. Those who remember the P63, once vinified by José Maria da Fonseca, will recall their reputation. For a time, destiny had left the place “abandoned” in the wine world, leaving only a faint memory of the great wines that were once made there. Fortunately, the new owner—someone of refined taste and relentless dedication—has returned. Thus the new Casa da Passarella was born, ready to write another chapter in the story of this house and the Dão region.
