We’re looking at a producer who has risen from the ashes. He came to stay and write a new chapter, though the house’s story dates back to the 19th century, when it was built. Great wines were born here and from these vineyards—who could forget the P63, once vinified by José Maria da Fonseca? Fate left the place “abandoned” to the world of wine, leaving only a faint memory of the great wines that were born there, but it also brought a new owner of good taste and extreme dedication to doing it well. Thus the new Casa da Passarella was born, to write a fresh chapter in this house’s history and the Dão region. The wines are excellent, crafted with rigor and a strong desire to do the best.
