In a distant past, in the place of Canhotos, in the parish of Penso, a house was built that became known as the “Casa de Canhotos” by the local community. With a favourable microclimate and an ideal location, the surrounding land was turned into beautiful Alvarinho vineyards, and in August 2006, producer Fernando Rodrigues decided to start his own production, giving birth to the brand “Casa de Canhotos Alvarinho.” The wines made here are exclusively from grapes grown in their own vineyards, following strict selection criteria to guarantee the highest quality.
