In the distant past, in the place of Canhotos, within the parish of Penso, a house was built that came to be known as “Casa de Canhotos” by the local population. With a favorable microclimate and an ideal location, the surrounding land was turned into beautiful Alvarinho vineyards, and in August 2006, producer Fernando Rodrigues decided to start his own production, giving rise to the brand “Casa de Canhotos Alvarinho.” The wines produced here are made exclusively from grapes grown in their own vineyards, following rigorous selection criteria to ensure maximum product quality.
