Founded in 1864 by Bernardo Rodrigues de Carvalho, the patriarch of the Duriense family, Quinta de Santa Eufémia is now managed by the fourth generation. It specialises in the production and marketing of Port wines, table wines and olive oil. Situated on the south bank of the Douro River across more than 45 hectares of vineyards, it cultivates grapes from the finest varieties, vinified in granite vats and traditionally stomped. Wines are aged in oak shells before being selected for the perfect batches. The bottling year may not match the accompanying image. (illustrative image)
