Casa Ferreirinha and its wines are synonymous with time and art. This has been the case since its founding in the eighteenth century by Bernardo Ferreira, who refined the formula through his descendants, especially his granddaughter Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, affectionately known as “Ferreirinha” or “Ferreirinha‑da‑Régua” by the people of her region. Under her leadership – she was twice widowed yet still took the helm of a large enterprise – Ferreira consolidated itself admirably.
