A Casa Ferreirinha and its wines are synonymous with time and art. This has been the case since its founding in the 18th century, by Bernardo Ferreira, whose formula was refined by his descendants, especially his granddaughter Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, who was affectionately known as “Ferreirinha” or “Ferreirinha‑da‑Régua” by the people of her homeland. Under Dona Antónia’s leadership – she rose to head the family business after being widowed twice – the Ferreira legacy consolidated itself admirably. Her entrepreneurial spirit taught her to anticipate, decide, create, teach and love, making her a figure of great prominence and charisma. (illustrative image only)
