Sogrape Vinhos was founded in 1942 by Fernando van Zeller Guedes, with the ambition to introduce the world to Portuguese wines and a long‑term vision based on the quality of the wines sold, the novelty of its brands, and the presentation of its products. Today, led by the third generation of the founding family, Sogrape Vinhos increasingly fulfills the goal set at its inception: to be a family‑run company with international ambition, focused on producing quality wines, innovating, and developing Portuguese brands of global stature. The company owns roughly 830 hectares of vineyards across Portugal. Casa Ferreirinha and its wines have long been synonymous with time and artistry. Founded in the 18th century by Bernardo Ferreira, the label has been refined by successive generations, especially by his granddaughter Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, affectionately known as “Ferreirinha” or “Ferreirinha‑da‑Régua” by locals. Under Antónia’s leadership—who twice became a widow yet steered a major enterprise—Ferreira built an admirable legacy. Her entrepreneurial spirit taught her to anticipate, decide, create, teach, and love, making her a figure of great influence and charisma. (Illustrative image only)
