Vinification: It is vinified in the cellars of Quinta do Seixo in Cima Corgo, and Quinta da Leda in the Upper Douro, using refined technology. After gentle crushing and de‑stemmed grapes are moved to stainless‑steel vats where alcoholic fermentation takes place. During this phase, gentle macerations at controlled temperature extract the compounds that contribute to the wine’s colour, aroma and flavour. Maturation occurs in used French oak barrels for about 12 months. The final lot is crafted based on selections made during numerous tastings and analyses in this period. To preserve the highest quality, the wine is only filtered before bottling. Suggestions: It pairs well with meat dishes such as the traditional Portuguese stew or grilled red meats, and being a very gastronomic wine it can also accompany white meats or oven‑baked fish. Store horizontally, in a cool, dry place away from light and temperature fluctuations. Serve at 16–18 °C and consume in moderation.
