This “Late Harvest” from Casal Santa Maria is a truly contemplative wine, a testament to vineyard patience and the art of extended picking. The winemakers have allowed the grapes to develop full body and a beautiful interplay of acidity and white stone fruit – reminiscent of those crisp mornings in the Arrábida Mountains. Primarily Fernão White, with a lovely touch of Malvasia de Schivel; the Fernão consistently delivering vibrant intensity, and the Malvasia adding a welcome burst of freshness. It’s a wine that clearly understands the importance of time, and would be superb with oysters or grilled white fish.
