Casas Altas O Vinho Branco The 2008 white wine originates from a small local vineyard situated at about 750 metres above sea level in the municipality of Pinhel, planted on granitic sandy soils with Viosinho and Malvasia grapes. The unique terroir of Beira Interior, with its demanding climate, high diurnal temperature swings, granite soils and elevations above 650 metres—where vines coexist with lime-bearing rocks, woods and olive groves—contributes distinctive qualities to the wines produced here. Fermentation was carried out in stainless‑steel vats with electronic temperature control. Its freshness pairs well with shellfish, fish or white meats. Winemaker: Gabriela Canossa.
