This wine, from Casa do Coro, clearly spent some time wrestling with itself in oak – nearly two years of aging, with a notably thorough malolactic fermentation. The lack of filtration hints at a wonderfully wild, unapologetically honest character, perfectly delivered by the Rabigato and Códega. A truly delightful pairing would be with freshly grilled fish or a mushroom omelette.
