Description

This Douro wine, crafted by Rui Roboredo, clearly benefited from a very attentive upbringing – complete whole berry destemming and immediate crushing, all to coax out maximum complexity from the grapes. A masterful blend, echoing the “Old World” tradition, reveals notes of blackberry and cedar from the Touriga Franca, interwoven with hints of spice and a touch of violet courtesy of the Touriga Nacional. The inclusion of American oak lends a warming element, but thankfully, the acidity remains remarkably refined. A luscious, enveloping wine – ideal alongside grilled beef, naturally.
